Leicester Ladies suffered their first defeat of the season as they lost 1-0 to Slough in the English Hockey League Championship play-off final.

Leicester were unbeaten in the league season, finishing top of the table and winning the national indoor title.

But they missed the opportunity to secure the league title in the first end-of-season play-offs on Saturday.

Chloe Strong scored the only goal from a penalty corner in the second half to earn Slough a shock victory.
