Dutch wheelchair tennis player Esther Vergeer remains on course for a seventh successive British Open title after powering into Saturday's decider. Vergeer, who defeated compatriot Jiske Griffioen 6-2 6-0, will face another Dutchwoman Korie Homan in the final.
Homan, the world number five, beat Florence Gravellier of France 6-3 6-4.
Saturday's men's semi-finals see top seed Shingo Kunieda take on Ronald Vink and second seed Robin Ammerlaan up against Satoshi Saida.
Kunieda, from Japan, had a comprehensive 6-1 6-1 win over Tadeusz Kruszelnicki of Poland while Dutchman Vink was a 6-2 6-2 winner over Sweden's Stefan Olsson.
Vink was a comfortable straight-sets winner over British teenager David Phillipson in the third round in Nottingham.
Ammerlaan, who teamed up with his compatriot Vink to win the recent Wimbledon men's doubles title, defeated Maikel Scheffers 6-3 6-4.
Saida, who beat British number one Alex Jewitt earlier in the week, got the better of Austria's Martin Legner 6-1 7-6.
British women's number one Lucy Shuker, who moved into the world's top 10 for the first time earlier this week, is set for another rankings boost after she defeated sixth seed Mie Yaosa of Japan in the third round.
Shuker won 7-5 6-3 before being well beaten by world number one Vergeer in the quarter-finals.
However she teamed up with Sharon Walraven to reach the last four in the women's doubles.
