 Shuker is chasing a place in the world's top 10 |
Britain's Lucy Shuker and Jayant Mistry both secured their first NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour titles of 2007 in Switzerland on Sunday. Shuker won both the women's singles and doubles at the Biel-Bienne Indoors while Mistry won the men's doubles and was beaten in the men's singles final.
Shuker, the world number 12, defeated world number 11 Agnieszka Bartczak from Poland 3-6 6-0 6-1.
Mistry lost 2-6 6-4 6-4 to Sweden's Stefan Olsson in the men's decider.
Shuker then teamed up with Bartczak to beat Germany's Katharina Kruger and Anna Alenas of Sweden 6-2 6-0 in the final of the women's doubles.
Mistry and his Dutch doubles partner Ronald Vink defeated Lahcen Majdi of France and Gert Vos of Belgium 7-6 6-1 in the doubles final win over in Sunday's final.
The victory gave Mistry his first international doubles title in over a year and consolidates his place inside the top 10 in the world doubles rankings.
