Great Britain's men's wheelchair basketball team suffered heartbreak with a narrow 56-54 defeat to Italy in the European Championship final. GB were 31-26 up at half-time with Ade Orogbemi leading a tough defensive display against the defending champions.
They still led 40-39 going into the final quarter but Italy started landing important scores to take the lead.
Simon Munn and Kevin Hayes both missed late chances to send it to overtime.
Colin Price top-scored for GB on 17 points with Simon Munn hitting 13 and Jon Hall, one of the less-experienced members of the squad, adding nine.
"Coming into this tournament we had three aims, to qualify for the World Championships, to top our pool and to win gold and we have achieved two of those," GB coach Dave Titmuss told BBC Sport.
"We came up against a very experienced Italian team and while they hit the big points, we didn't. But we will still take some positives out of the tournament."
