Simon Munn seems set to end up as tournament top-scorer |
Great Britain men's wheelchair basketball team have reached the European Championship final after a 82-73 victory over Sweden. Dave Titmuss' side trailed 34-33 at half-time against the tournament's surprise packets.
But with Simon Munn finding his range and Colin Price and Pete Finbow exerting their influence, GB came through in the second half.
They will face Italy, who beat Israel by four points, in Friday's final.
Munn top-scored with 33 points and seems set to finish as the tournament's top scorer while Price added 19 and Finbow hit 10.
There was also a strong defensive display from Ade Orogbemi.
"I'm delighted with the performance," GB coach Titmuss told BBC Sport after the game. "If we play to our expectations, we can do well in the Friday's final."
GB will be looking for revenge against the defending champions after defeats in the semi-finals of the last European Championships in 2003 and the pool stages of last year's Athens Paralympics.
