GB face Swedes in European semis
Great Britain men's wheelchair basketball team will face Sweden in the European Championship semi-finals after maintaining their unbeaten record.

GB, who have already earned an automatic qualification spot for next year's World Championship, beat the Dutch 82-61 in Paris on Wednesday.

The result ensured the Paralympic bronze medallists topped Group B with five wins out of five.

They avoided 2003 champions Italy, who play Israel in the other semi-final.

GB made a great start against the Netherlands on Wednesday afternoon, racing to 28-19 lead after the first quarter.

The Dutch, who lost to GB in the bronze play-off at Athens last year, fought back to narrow the gap to 38-37 at half-time.

But GB rallied to extend their lead 62-52 by the third quarter before sealing the win with Simon Munn top-scoring on 36 points.

The team has so far notched up wins over Israel, the Czech Republic, Turkey and Spain in Paris.

The top five teams in the 12-team tournament automatically qualify for the 2006 World Championship.

Italy topped Group A, also with a 100% record.

Great Britain's men's team won bronze in the European Championships in 2003, and also won gold at the inaugural Paralympic World Cup in May.
