Britain's top Paralympic hopes head to Denmark this weekend to compete in their last major event before next month's British Championships. The Danish Open Championships begin on Friday in Esbjerg, where 16 of Britain's elite will hope to shine.
The three-day event is vital to their preparations for Athens 2004.
The British Championships, which take place in four weeks, will be the squad's first opportunity to qualify for the Paralympics.
"I will be looking at individual performances this weekend as we get closer to the Paralympic qualifiers and then the trials in May," said Tim Reddish, British Swimming Director of Disability.
"We will be treating this event like a domestic meet and, although we haven't tapered the training, I am expecting the team to do well and come up with a few surprises.
"The aim is that all athletes will swim within three per cent of their personal best times at worst."
