Reigning champion Phil Taylor remains four points clear at the top of the Premier League table after a comfortable 8-1 win over Mark Webster. Taylor has won his last eight matches in the tournament and needs two more victories from his last five matches to guarantee a semi-final spot. Elsewhere, world champion Adrian Lewis was beaten 8-3 by James Wade, who moves off the foot of the table. There were also wins for Gary Anderson and Simon Whitlock in Aberdeen. Anderson beat Terry Jenkins 8-3, while Whitlock hit eight maximums, equalling the Premier League record, in his 8-5 success against Raymond van Barneveld. Taylor has amassed 16 points from nine matches, with Anderson second in the table on 12 points and Whitlock and van Barneveld occupying third and fourth positions.
