Phil Taylor remains five points clear at the top of the Premier League table

Phil Taylor romped to an 11th straight win over Raymond van Barneveld in week eight of the Premier League in Cardiff.

The 15-time world champion, from Stoke-on-Trent, won 8-2 to maintain his unbeaten start to the competition.

After losing to Taylor in Birmingham, Adrian Lewis moved back into the top four with an impressive win over defending champion James Wade.

It was the first time that Lewis, who had a three-dart average of 99.62, had ever beaten Wade on television.

Elsewhere, Ronnie Baxter and Mervyn King continued their push for a play-off spot with wins over Simon Whitlock and Terry Jenkins respectively.
