Taylor is ready to face his one time practice partner

Defending World Matchplay champion Phil Taylor will meet fellow North Staffordshire darts player Adrian Lewis in this year's quarter-final.

Taylor was in top form on Tuesday night beating Kevin Painter 13-3, while Lewis defeated Colin Lloyd 13-5.

Taylor said: "I'm very happy with my performance and looking forward to playing Adrian now."

Lewis added: "If I score like I can and finish like I now know I can, I'll have a good shot at beating him."
