Phil Taylor leads the Premier League table after 10 matches |
Phil Taylor continued his good form with a victory in the latest UK Open regional final in Taunton. Taylor romped to a 6-0 win over fellow Potteries player Andy Hamilton to claim the £6,000 prize. It stretched his record of consecutive final appearances in the UK Open regional tournaments to 16. Meanwhile, the 14-time world champion resumes his Premier League campaign at the Trent FM Arena in Nottingham on Thursday against Wayne Mardle. Taylor leads James Wade at the top of the table by one point and will confirm his place in the semi-finals if he wins and Raymond van Barneveld fails to overcome his fellow countryman, Dutch youngster Jelle Klaasen.
