Mervyn King hopes that a run of good form continues into the PDC World Championships at the Alexandra Palace.
'The King' is making his second appearance at the PDC event, having left the BDO two years ago.
He told BBC Radio Norfolk, "When I joined I got in the top 32 within 12 months which was good, but the early part of this year wasn't going to plan.
"I've had a better back half, I've won a couple of tournaments and it's put me inside the top 16," he said.
King also told BBC Radio Norfolk that he's confident of progress at the World Championship, even if he meets 11-time champion Phil Taylor.
"I've beaten him twice this year, I think I'm the only person in the PDC to beat him twice in a year.
"I'm not bothered about who I play to be quite honest, if I turn up and play properly then I'll win, my game is as good as anyone else's," he said.
The PDC World Championships began at the Alexandra Palace on Friday, King will face either Austrian Hannes Schnier or China's Shi Yongsheng in the first round on Monday evening.
