Taylor is the current world number one

Phil Taylor defeated Adrian Lewis 11-5 in Sunday's all-Stoke European Championships final in Frankfurt.

Taylor, who averaged over 108 in the final, came back from 2-0 down to take the �50,000 first prize.

"It's one of the hardest tournaments I've ever won and I'm very proud of it," said the 13-time world champion.

"We've both worked very hard to get to the final. We both got tired but I had to try keep the pressure on Adrian and it told in the end."
