Charlie Gibson won the Manx Mountain Bike Club's Junior XC Championship race in high winds on Bradda Head on Sunday.

Gibson completed seven laps of the windswept course to claim victory ahead of Tara Ferguson and Percy Hampton.

Meanwhile, the senior event was postponed as the conditions left parts of the track unrideable.

A reduced one-hour race went ahead on a shortened course with Paul Kneen claiming the victory ahead of Nick Corlett and Darren McGrath.
