Hoy & Pendleton target European Championships in Poland
Hoy won his 10th world title in Copenhagen earlier this year
British Olympic champions Sir Chris Hoy and Victoria Pendleton will head to Pruszkow in Poland in November for the European Track Cycling Championships.
The duo in July pulled out of October's Commonwealth Games in India because they clash with the event, which are a qualifier for the 2012 Olympics.
Hoy said last month that "the Olympics take precedence over everything".
Hoy and Pendleton won Commonwealth gold medals at the 2006 Melbourne Games for Scotland and England respectively.
But they were the first Brits to announce they would not be travelling to Delhi for the Commonwealth Games, which run from 3-14 October.
The European Championships have been upgraded from an under-23 event to offer Olympic qualification points and the full impact of the event on the home nations' squads for India will be revealed later this week with England's cycling squad due to be announced.
Pendleton disappointed to miss Commonwealths
The European Cycling Union announced on Tuesday that their event will take place in Poland from 5-7 November.
The BGZ Arena in Pruszkow, which is near to the Polish capital Warsaw, played host to the 2009 Track Cycling World Championships where Pendleton won one of Britain's two gold medals, in the women's sprint.
