Cooke remains on top of the overall World Cup standings |
Nicole Cooke saw her lead at the top of the World Cup rankings cut after finishing fourth in Sunday's Berner Rundfahrt in Switzerland. Edita Pucinskaite won the race, the fifth round of the 2007 series, in a time of 3hr 06min 33sec.
But Cooke's eye was on main rival Marianne Vos, 19 and the DSB Bank rider took second to cut the Welshwoman's overall lead from 76 to 56 points.
Cooke, 24, returns to stage racing on Thursday in France's Tour de l'Aude.
