 Cooke is closing on a second World Cup title |
Nicole Cooke's Univega Raleigh Lifeforce team have won the Women's Golden Hour team time trial in Denmark to strengthen her World Cup hold. Racing with Priska Doppmann, Christaine Soeder, Karin Thurig, Sarah Duster and Joanne Kiesanowski, the Welsh star, 23, edged Buetenpoort Flexpoint to second.
The win contributes 35 points to Cooke's World Cup lead of 118.
There are three rounds to go, with France and Holland worth 75 points to the winner and Germany 150 points.
