Cooke's lead has been cut to 49 points in the World Cup standings

But her advantage has been cut to 49 points after nearest rival Judith Arndt took first place in Montreal.

Arndt launched her move 200 metres from the finishing line and just managed to stay in front to grab maximum points.

"I'm delighted to still be in the leaders jersey, and with five races to go it's going to be very interesting," said Cooke.

The next leg is on 28 July in Sweden.
