Belgian World Cup win for Cooke
Nicole Cooke
The Fleche Wallonne is Cooke's first World Cup win of the year
Welsh cyclist Nicole Cooke gained World Cup victory in the Fleche Wallonne.

The 2003 World Cup champion finished ahead of Australia's Oenone Wood and Germany's Judith Arndt, ending with a climb up the formidable Mur de Huy.

The success is her first World Cup triumph of the season, following a second at the Primavera Rosa and a wrong turn in the Tour of Flanders.

The 21-year-old Safi-Pasta Zara rider also has three wins to her name this year in non-World Cup events.
