Dutchman Max Van Heeswijk clinched the seventh stage of the Tour of Spain for his first win in the event since 1997. The Discovery Channel rider was fastest among the bunch during the manic sprint coming into Vinaros on Friday.
German T-Mobile rider Erik Zabel came second, with Fassa Bortolo star Alberto Ongarato, taking third spot.
Spain's Roberto Heras still leads the race and has a 12 second advantage over Russia's Denis Menchov, with Spain's Carlos Sastre of Team CSC, third.
