Suffolk's Mark Royal is through to the quarter-finals of the World Indoor Championships at Hopton-on-Sea. Royal, number three in the world, overcame Cambridgeshire's Nick Brett 8-3 6-6 in their second round match-up. Brett, a semi-finalist in 2010, has already crashed out of the pairs along with partner Jamie Chestney. Stowmarket-based Royal, who reached the pairs semi-finals in this year's event, will now face Scotland's world number 11 Darren Burnett.
