Jonathan Ross is the only Irish bowler in the world's top 16 |
Jonathan Ross lost to Scotland's Darren Burnett by one and a half sets to a half in the quarter-finals of the Welsh International Open at Swansea. Ross lost the first set 8-7 after leading 7-6 and the 36-year-old then tied the second set 6-6 and agonizingly missed out on the tie-break. Ross has however retained his place in the world's elite top 16 for next year. "I came here determined to keep myself in next season's elite top 16 on the ranking list," said Ross.
