Paul Foster edged out qualifier Stewart Anderson to book his place in the final of the Scottish International Open. Foster, the fourth seed, beat his fellow Scot on a tie break 8-6 5-8 2-1, and will face England's Ian Bond in Saturday's final in Perth. Twelfth seed Bond proved too strong for Mervyn King in the other last-four clash, winning 7-5 4-11 2-1. It guarantees a Scotland versus England final, with live coverage by BBC Scotland and the BBC Sport website. Anderson had knocked world champion Billy Jackson out of the tournament at the quarter-final stage.
