Kings Ladies are now the National Top Club

Kings Bowling Club Ladies have been crowned the National Top Club champions after months of tough competition.

The Torquay side beat Northamptonshire side Wellingborough 90-43 in Sunday's final to claim the title.

Sophie Tolchard, 17, was the top player for the Devon side, winning her three singles games 21-3, 21-10 and 21-2.

More than 370 clubs entered the competition in May, with the final eight challenging for the title in Torquay last weekend.

King's Ladies winning team:
