Foster was one of a number of rowers in this year's Cambridge team who was part of the winning Goldie crew last year.
He won the Britannia Challenge Cup at Henley in 2003 and rowed for St Catharine's from 2000-2002.
Two: Kris Coventry

The 26-year-old chemistry student was a member of the crew that was defeated in last year's race.
He was named Australian national champion in the coxed four in 1999.
A talented sportsman, Coventry was college swimming and badminton champion at the University of Melbourne, and has represented West Brunswick at Aussie Rules.
Three: Hugo Mallinson

Mallinson is one of the many rowers from last year's Blue Boat who is involved again this year.
The American was a Henley Visitors finalist in 2003 with Nate Kirk, Andrew Shannon and Kris Coventry.
Four: Sebastian Mayer

Mayer's last outing in the Boat Race was in 2002 when he was part of the Cambridge crew that lost to Oxford.
He was also part of the German team at the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games and was a World Championships silver medallist in 1998 and 1999.
Five: Andrew Shannon

Shannon helped Goldie to success in 2003 and he also stroked the winning Visitors Challenge Crew at Henley in the same year.
The Scot was national pairs champion in 2001 and second in the coxed four at the Fours Head that year.
Six: Steffen Buschbacher

Buschbacher won with the Goldie team in 2003 and three years earlier helped Harvard beat Yale in the American equivalent of the Boat Race.
In late 2002, Steffen had five weeks out of training due to a bad chest infection.
Seven: Wayne Pommen

Pommen was selected for the 2003 Cambridge crew but had to withdraw with a fractured wrist 48 hours before the race after the team were in a collision during training.
The Canadian won the Ladies Plate at Henley two years ago and was a world U23 gold medallist in an eight with Canada in 2001.
Stroke: Nate Kirk

The 23-year-old American stroked Goldie to victory in 2003.
He studied at Yale and captained the rowing squad. He took part in in three Harvard v Yale races but was on the losing team on each occasion.
Cox: Kenelm Richardson

Richardson was a Cambridge trialist in 2002.
He coxed the Great Britain junior eight to silver at the 2002 Coupe de la Jeunesse after starting the discipline at school six years ago.
