Paternostro's side have moved up to sixth in the BBL table |
Leicester head coach Rob Paternostro felt his side were not at their best in the resounding 116-78 victory over Worthing Thunder. Riders bounced back from midweek defeat at MK Lions to see off Thunder and record their sixth straight home win. But Paternostro told BBC Radio Leicester: "In the first half we didn't do a good job defensively and, give them credit, they made a lot of shots. "Second half we did a better job and they wore down and we took advantage." Leicester were led by 25 points from Ryan Zamroz, and had 58 points off the bench led by Barry Lamble's double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds. James Whyte also contributed 16 points as the home side eased to victory. Riders, who are now joint sixth in the BBL table, face second-placed Mersey Tigers at the John Sandford centre on Wednesday.
