Coventry Crusaders have parted company with first-team coach Roger Payne with immediate effect.

Payne spent just four months with Crusaders, who recently dropped out of the top flight due to their ongoing financial difficulties.

Assistant Marcus Garvey takes over the role ahead of next season, when the team will be playing in Division Four.

A statement on the club website read: "Crusaders would like to thank Roger for his efforts whilst at the club."
