Wolves coach James disappointed by players in Heat loss

Paul James disappointed after Guildford defeat

Worcester Wolves coach Paul James has criticised his players for being too complacent ahead of their 102-83 BBL defeat to Guildford Heat.

"We just didn't perform. I'm frustrated and disappointed with their attitude," he told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

The result ended a good run of form for the Wolves who are one place off the play-off spots with nine matches left.

"We'd won three games on the bounce. My concern was complacency and certainly we saw that last night."

He added: "We got what we deserved. You just can't go out with that attitude and expect to win games.

"They are down, they are embarrassed, they are upset, so hopefully we are going to get a good response. We have an opportunity to bounce back and get the next few games."

The Wolves next four matches are all against the bottom three sides in the BBL with a double header at the University of Worcester this weekend starting with Essex Pirates.

"The next three games are at home and they are all must-win games. If we want to make the play-offs, we have to win all three without a question."
