Leicester Riders suffered agonising back-to-back defeats at the weekend. Riders slipped to a 88-81 loss away against title-chasing Glasgow Rocks on Sunday, having been beaten 80-78 at home by Cheshire Jets on Saturday. Rob Paternostro's side had the better of the early exchanges against the Rocks and led 9-4. But despite that promising opening they struggled to keep in touch and the home side had a double-digit lead for almost three-quarters of the match. Despite a late run from the visitors, the experienced Sterling Davis and EJ Harrison sealed the match from the free-throw line for the Rocks. On Saturday, a superb shooting display by Ryan Zamroz was not enough to stop Leicester from slipping to a painful home defeat against second-placed Cheshire. Gareth Murray secured a fine road win, with a dramatic three-pointer with less than 20 seconds left of a topsy-turvy game.
