Paternostro guided Leicester to the play-offs last season |
Leicester Riders coach Rob Paternostro says he is in no doubt about the size of the task his side face when they play host to Cheshire Jets on Saturday. Riders are looking to end a four-game losing streak against the BBL's second-placed side. Paternostro said: "I've been really impressed with them so far this season. "They're intelligent at both ends of the floor, and they play with a cohesion that has put then in a good position in the league." High-flying Jets have an 8-3 record, while Riders - who have not played since the 82-69 victory over Worthing Thunder in mid-December - are one of three sides tied in fifth place with six wins from 10 games. | Our young guys have played well and will continue to improve as the season progresses |
Paternostro added: "Jeremy Bell has had a great start to his BBL career and Quemont Greer is a guy who's super-talented. Paul [Smith] has fitted in some nice players to his system, and they're a difficult team to play against. "Obviously it's been great not to have the stress, but generally it's been good for us to get ourselves re-energised and I'm excited about our potential for the second half of the season. "Our young guys have played well and will continue to improve as the season progresses." Leicester are also in action on Sunday when they have an away fixture against Glasgow Rocks.
