Cauthorne had four spells with Sheffield Sharks

Sheffield Sharks legend Todd Cauthorn has retired from playing basketball.

The 39-year-old American, who had four spells at Sharks and captained the side last season, also spent time at Chester Jets and Sheffield Arrows.

Cauthorne, who had a spell as Sharks' assistant manager, said: "I didn't think I would totally do myself justice if I played again this season.

"Hopefully the team will have another good year and I hope the club continues to be successful in the future."
