Milton Keynes Lions have added USA-based centre Keith Darden to their squad ahead of the new BBL season.

The 6ft 10in Livingstone College graduate is set for his first professional campaign after two years in NCAA Division II.

Darden, who is also able to play forward, has averaged six points and five rebounds a game and shot 45% from the field in the last two seasons.

The 26-year-old becomes manager Mike New's fourth summer signing.

New told the club's website: "We wanted to get more athletic this season. Keith has had a tremendous summer being a standout player at the Eurobasket Summer Leagues.

"I think that Keith will be a game changer, without having to have the ball in his hands.

"He will be one of our anchors on defence, he is a fantastic rebounder and he will always be one of the fastest players on court."

Darden joins Stefan Gill, Kris Clark and Travis Nelson in the new-look Lions roster.
