Leicester Riders have made free-scoring guard Ryan Zamroz the latest addition to their squad for the 2010/11 season. The American, 23, scored 29 points per game while playing for Geraldton Buccaneers in Australia and also added 4.4 assists and 4.4 rebounds per match. Coach Rob Paternostro said: "He is a multi-skilled guard who has the ability to make plays from all over the floor. "He has good size and strength and is someone that caught my eye the first time I watched him play." Paternostro added: "He had a fantastic college career and put up huge numbers in his first season of professional basketball." Zamroz, who played a key role in helping the Buccaneers to the SBL play-off semi-finals in Australia in the summer, also has a sensational three-point shooting record, netting 113 long-range efforts at a 46% accuracy rate. "I'm looking forward to working with Ryan as I believe he is a young player with a very bright future who is looking to excel at the professional level," Paternostro added. "He is a great long-range shooter who isn't just a shooter, he finds many ways to put the ball in the basket and has shown an ability to adjust and read whatever the defence gives him."
