Harris spent nine seasons at Notts, winning the county title in 2005 |
Leicestershire's AJ Harris will retire from first-class cricket at the end of the season after an 18-year career. The 37-year-old former Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire seam bowler moved to Grace Road in 2009 but has struggled to win a regular place this season. New captain Matthew Hoggard, Nathan Buck and Nadeem Malik have all moved ahead of Harris in the pecking order. Harris told cricketworld.com: "All good things must come to an end and now is the right time to move on."
