Leicester Riders have re-signed the influential Barry Lamble for a fifth successive season. The towering centre first joined the Riders in 2006 when he played alongside coach Rob Paternostro. "Barry has been a valuable member of my team," Paternostro said. "He's a skilled big man who has shown that he can contribute in many ways. "Over the last two seasons he has made big plays in big games and has stepped up when we have needed him most." Last season Lamble, who has also played for Birmingham, Worcester, Bath and Taunton, averaged 3.5 points and three rebounds per game. Paternostro added: "Barry is a great team-mate, who is fantastic in the locker room and the fans love him too, not just because he is a great guy, but because he has been a very good player for us. "He is a tough match-up for other players, has the ability to score in the post and has shown that he can be a good rebounder on both ends of the floor."
