Leicester Riders have bolstered their squad by completing the signing of American forward Anthony Simpson. The 23-year-old joins the team from Kent State University, where he played under coach Geno Ford - the former Riders point guard. Riders head coach Rob Paternostro said: "I'm excited about the opportunity to work with Anthony. He has a lot of qualities that I look for in a player. "He is athletic and has the ability to make plays from all over the court." Last season, Simpson averaged nine points and six rebounds a game, made 52% of his shot attempts and led the team in dunks. "I think the BBL will be a great place to start his professional career," Paternostro added. "Geno was a big help. He is familiar with our organisation and after speaking with him, both he and I believed that this would be a good fit for Anthony and the Riders."
