Taylor has ammassed 483 runs against Middlesex over three seasons

Leicestershire's James Taylor continued his recent good form to record another century and set up an intriguing final day against Middlesex at Lord's.

Taylor's six-hour vigil saw him gather 106 unbeaten runs as the visitors were dismissed for 282, a lead of 63.

Middlesex began their second innings brightly as openers Scott Newman (70) and Jacques du Toit (44) put on 119.

However, Claude Henderson removed both men as the home side slipped to 168-4 at the close, 105 runs ahead.

Resuming on 186 for five, still trailing by 33 runs, Leicestershire were soon six down as Jigar Naik was pinned lbw by part-time leg-spinner Dawid Malan.

However, Henderson (36) was able to keep Taylor company long enough for the 20-year-old to score his third century in four games before the tail folded.

In response, Middlesex looked comfortable until Henderson's double strike. Naik then got revenge on Malan, having him caught for four.

Neil Dexter was then removed by Nadeem Malik before Owais Shah (25 not out) and nightwatchman Toby Roland-Jones saw the home side through to stumps.
