Plymouth Raiders snap up US guard Brian McKenzie

Plymouth Raiders have continued their recruitment drive for next season by signing guard Brian McKenzie.

The 22-year-old American joins the Raiders from Providence University following his graduation this summer.

Raiders head coach Gavin Love said: "I've spoken to his coaches at Providence and they can't speak highly enough of him.

"He's an athlete who can score, rebound, play defence and can really shoot the ball well."

McKenzie is the fourth player brought to the club by Love over the summer, joining Taner Adu, Cody Toppert and Otis Polk in Plymouth.

Raiders chief executive Dave Briggs said: "So far it's a very different line-up to last year and things are shaping up really well.

"Gavin's determined to put the best team possible on to the floor come September.

"He's been working day and night to ensure that everything comes together."
