We felt we could make some noise in the play-offs and we felt we deserved to win the game. It still hurts
Rob Paternostro
Leicester Riders head coach Rob Paternostro says he is proud of the progress his team made this season.
Riders finished sixth in the BBL table but were edged out 88-86 by Glasgow Rocks in the play-off quarter-finals.
Paternostro told BBC Radio Leicester: "The thing that makes me feel good is our players improved as we went on. We had some young guys who worked hard.
"As a coach it's great to win games but it's very rewarding to see players improve and all the guys improved."
Paternostro added: "Twenty-one wins is a solid season and its been kind of like a couple of seasons for us.
"The first half of the year before Christmas we were a totally different team. We had Tack Minor and he was an explosive player but when he left we changed some things around and we got on a roll and had a really good second half of the season - especially at home.
"We felt we could make some noise in the play-offs and we felt we deserved to win the game. It still hurts."
