Paternostro's men lost in Glasgow earlier in the month |
Head coach Rob Paternostro says Leicester Riders will not be daunted by the prospect of facing Glasgow in Sunday's play-off quarter-final. Rocks finished third in the BBL table and, with home advantage and having won two out of three meetings between the sides, will be favourites. "Rocks have proven they are a good team but we feel good about it - we match up pretty well," Paternostro said. "However if we want to advance, we need to play one of our better games." Riders finished level on points with fourth-placed Cheshire Jets and only just missed out on a home play-off tie. Leicester beat Guildford Heat 86-79 on Saturday but that was not enough to lift them above the Jets and Everton Tigers. But Paternostro is not dwelling on the disappointment of failing to finish in the top four and knows his side face a tough ask if they are to make the final four. "Controlling (Rob) Yanders and (Jessie) Sapp and not allowing them to give the other players good looks is key for us," Paternostro said. "We need to control their penetration, understand what our strengths are against this club and take advantage of them."
