Evans in his first season as Wolves coach |
Worcester Wolves head coach Chuck Evans has issued a rallying cry to his squad ahead of Friday's game at Newcastle. Wolves come into the match on the back of their BBL Cup quarter-final defeat at Leicester last weekend. Evans told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "Last weekend, we performed well for 20 minutes, but totally fell apart in the second half. "We must learn to play together for the full 40 but the main reason for the loss is we lack on-court leadership." "We also need some guys to step up at critical moments like Bradd (Wierzbicki) did for Leicester when Tack Minor went out of the game with an injury. "Newcastle with their profile and pedigree are a tough physical team at home. "I watched them when they lost at Chester last week, and good teams don't lose two in a row, so they will be well prepared for us."
