Moore top scored in the win against Everton with 21 points |
Newcastle Eagles guard Trey Moore played down Tuesday's 89-79 defeat of Everton as a title decider, despite opening up a 10-point lead in the BBL. Fab Flournoy's side need just two more wins to clinch the championship but Moore, who top scored with 21 points, says there is still much to do. "We still have to finish a few games and take care of business," he told BBC Radio Newcastle. "It feels good to have the head to head on Everton and do part of the job." Eagles' Everton double means the Tynesiders are now the overwhelming favourites for the title with just five games to play. And Moore says nothing must change in their approach until the trophy is in their hands. "We've just got to keep working and preparing like we have been doing every day," he said. "The title isn't won yet, we've got unfinished business and we've got to practice and get ready for Worcester on Saturday."
