Leicester Riders failed in a bid to record their longest BBL winning streak, losing 99-89 at Guildford Heat on Sunday. Riders maintained a slender advantage early on but a 9-0 burst late in the first period saw Heat lead 25-18. Heat then dominated the second quarter, racing 53-30 ahead at one stage and despite a spirited recovery, Riders were unable to complete the comeback. On Saturday, Riders eased to a 99-79 victory over London Capital. On Sunday, Riders were led by veteran forward Tony Windless, who scored 23 points. Heat's backcourt led the way with EJ Harrison (23 points) and Keonta Howell (20). Riders are next in action on Saturday when they entertain Worcester Wolves at the John Sandford Centre.
