Paternostro's side are eighth in the BBL table |
Leicester Riders point guard Matt Martin has left the club to return to the United States. The 23-year-old has ended his professional playing career to take up a coaching role at his former college in Montana. Riders head coach Rob Paternostro told the club website: "We are disappointed with Matt's decision but we will not stand in his way. "We have a number of options we are considering as a replacement." | This was a very difficult decision to make |
The Riders are hoping to announce their new signing in about a week's time. Paternostro added: "We want to be sure we get the right quality of player who can make up for Matt's scoring." Martin said: "This was a very difficult decision to make but I realised I really wanted to get into coaching and an opportunity came up I felt I had to take."
