Worcester Wolves' Anthony Paez topped the BBL charts last season |
Worcester Wolves have re-signed star player Anthony Paez and will make his return against Sheffield on Sunday. Paez left the Wolves at the end of last season after topping the BBL scoring charts, but his work permit is now in place for his return. After training on Tuesday night, Paez admitted he is delighted to be back. "I had a phenomenal year last year," he said. "I had great support from the Wolves family and our fans. I am just looking forward to helping the Wolves." Wolves owner Roger Clarke says Paez is the sort of player who gives everything in every game. "He was a BBL All-Star last year," said Clarke. "And he knows this year, even though we are happy for him to score massive points, our expectations are much higher than least season from a team perspective. "Last year we competed hard and had some relative success but have yet to win BBL silverware, so do have work to do. "Bringing back Anthony shows our intent to our fans and the rest of the BBL, and we plan to add one more top quality British or European shooter as we are still evaluating players now. "
