Plymouth Raiders lost their opening home game by 20 points to the Scottish Rocks in the BBL on Sunday, a day after beating the London Captials 86-82. Raiders took an early lead against the Rocks, but the Scotsmen got back into the game in the second quarter and never looked back. It was the Raiders' biggest defeat for two years. Terrence Durham top scored for the Raiders with 16 points while Drew Lasker hit 13. Rob Yanders hit 27 points for the Rocks while Blake Shelton and Gareth Murray both scored 20. "At the end of the day everybody's going to lose their unbeaten record at some time and sometimes it acts as a wake up call," Raiders head coach Gary Stronach told BBC Radio Devon. It was a different story at the Capital City Academy on Saturday evening as the Raiders won their second straight game. They clawed back a five point half-time deficit to win the game late on with Lasker bagging 21 points. "A week's a long time in sport and a long time in basketball so we've got to pick our heads up and be ready for next weekend against Worcester," Stronach said.
