Sheffield Sharks have made their third signing of the summer with the return of small forward James Whyte. The British-born player joined the club midway through the 2007-08 season, averaging 13 points and six rebounds. Head coach Atiba Lyons said: "It's great to have James on board along with Arnaud Dahi, I believe we have a great core upon which to build." Whyte previously had spells playing in Israel and Finland before linking up with long-term friend Lyons. And he added he was looking forward to working with Lyons: "I have no problem playing for Atiba, I know him well enough to understand what he will be expecting." The London-born player was brought up in Canada and earned a scholarship in the United States to attend the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
