Golden State thrashed Dallas 111-86 to claim a surprise 4-2 series win in the first round of the NBA play-offs. The Warriors are now the first eighth-seeded team in NBA history to beat a number one seed in the first round of a play-off series.
Stephen Jackson starred, firing seven three-pointers and claiming 33 points.
The Warriors, who led by two points at half-time, made their decisive charge in the third period when they out-scored the Mavericks 36-15.
The loss was a huge blow to the Mavericks, who won 67 regular season games and were hoping to return to the NBA finals for the second straight year.
"It's so disappointing you can't even describe it," said Dallas star Dirk Nowitzki.
"We played our heart out for six, seven months. We won 67 games, and it really means nothing at this point."
