Newcastle moved level on points again with Chester at the top of the BBL table with a 91-86 win over Sheffield.

The Eagles broke the game open in the third quarter when they held the Sharks scoreless while netting 19 points, snaring a 14-point lead in the process.

Charles Smith led all scorers with 31 points for the Eagles and Jeremy Hyatt added 21.

Plymouth took a share of the final play-off berth with Milton Keynes after a 92-83 victory over Brighton.
