Colchester beat Hampshire Thrashers to reach the BritBowl
Colchester Gladiators are preparing for the BritBowl against Leicester Falcons, the BAFL Second Division final.
The Gladiators are unbeaten this season and have already guaranteed promotion to Division One.
Head coach Matt Roberts told BBC Essex: "It's the first final the team has been in for 21 years, We've broken a lot of records this year.
"I think most people have us down as favourites. They [Leicester] are a very, very good team."
"You can't get to a national final without a lot of weapons in your arsenal, which they certainly do have, we're expecting it to be our toughest game of the year."
The Gladiators play the Falcons on Saturday night at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium, with the Division One final between East Kilbride Pirates and London Cobras taking place on Sunday afternoon.
The Premier final follows that as the unbeaten London Blitz take on defending champions Coventry Jets.
